The Need for Emotion: NFE developed by Raman, Chattopadhyay and Hoyer (1995) is a multidimensional measure using a 5-point Likert scale items ranging from 1 Strongly Disagree to 5 Strongly Agree. Item scores are summed to form an overall NFE composite ranging from 12 to 60. There are three components are:
- Affect intensity,
- Emotional styles
- Affective orientation
All the three components contain items specific to assess differences among individuals in the way that people deal with emotions in related to fashion.
