The scale of Preference for Consistency: PFC proposed by Cialdini, Trost, and Newsom (1995) is a multidimensional measure using a 9-point Likert scale items ranging from 1 Strongly Disagree to 9 Strongly Agree. This scale has overall 18 items and there are three constructs were used as follows:
- Rigidity - internal consistency
- Personal need for structure - public consistency
- Self-consciousness, and the extroversion and openness factors - others' consistency
